Project description
BioBoost aims to promote the development of and investment in bioeconomy projects in Catalonia, supporting innovative initiatives that valorise biological resources, by-products and organic waste to generate new sustainable economic activities.
To this end, the project has launched a bioeconomy project accelerator that acts as a support point for initiative promoters at different stages of development. Through this accelerator, selected projects receive strategic guidance to improve their technical, economic and financial maturity and facilitate their access to investment.
The support is structured around four main types of services:
1. Technical services, focused on analysing the technological feasibility of the projects and the valorisation pathways for biological resources.
2. Business and finance services, focused on developing the business model, investment strategy and access to funding.
3. Legal and administrative services, which help navigate the regulatory framework and the procedures required to implement bioindustrial projects.
4. Facilitation, mapping and territorial impact services, focused on connecting projects with local stakeholders, identifying synergies and maximising their economic, environmental and social impact.
In this way, BioBoost acts as a one-stop shop that connects knowledge, projects and investment opportunities to accelerate the development of the bioeconomy in Catalonia.
