Project description

Focused on the Port of Barcelona business ecosystem within the Barcelona Metropolitan Region, the study aims to identify and connect companies that generate plastic waste with companies seeking recycled bales or pellets, thereby promoting the transition towards a circular economy in the port and industrial sectors.

Main objectives

  • Understand the needs of plastic waste generators and companies seeking recycled bales or pellets.
  • Facilitate connections between companies, promoting synergies to improve waste management and boost recycling.
  • Identify new business opportunities to promote industrial symbiosis and collaboration between companies.
  • Reduction of plastic waste sent for final disposal and promotion of its reintroduction into the market as secondary raw materials.
