Project description

Industrial symbiosis project developed in the Azcapotzalco municipality as a pilot experience for Mexico City. The project relies on the Vallejo-i Innovation Center as a driving force to improve sustainable industrial competitiveness and advance the transformation of the polygon towards an eco-industrial park.

The initiative adapts the European experience in industrial symbiosis to the Mexican context, identifying synergies between companies so that the waste of some can become resources for others, as well as the technologies and services necessary to make it possible. The project also evaluates the role of the innovation center as a facilitator of these collaborative dynamics.
